Our Service Costs and Billing Policies

Boddington Medical Centre is a private medical practice committed to providing the highest standard of care to all our patients.

 

Bulk billing is available for patients under 16 years of age and for holders of eligible concession cards, including: Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, and Commonwealth Seniors Health Card.

 

For all other patients, bulk billing is not routinely available.

Standard Appointment Fees

Billing and Out of Pocket Costs

PLEASE NOTE:

** To qualify for the Medicare Rebate, you must have a current Medicare Card.

** For the Concession Rate, please supply a current Health Care Card and/or Aged Pension Card.

 

*** NEW PATIENTS FIRST VISIT: All new patients to the practice require a “Long Consult” on your first visit.

Non Medicare Related Costs

Please be aware that some medical procedures and consumables are not covered by Medicare and may attract an additional charge along with a Nurses Fee.

Examples include but are not limited to:
 

  • Wound dressings and bandages

  • Plaster casts and splints

  • Sutures, procedure and sterile packs

  • Vaccines not funded by the government 

  • Implanon and IUD devices (device cost only)

  • Ear syringing consumables

  • Spirometry mouthpieces and nebuliser masks
     

These fees cover the cost of the materials used in your care and are charged in addition to your consultation fee. If you would like to know more about potential consumable charges before your appointment, please speak with our reception team.

Cancellation, No-Show & Late Arrival Policy

At Boddington Medical Centre, we strive to provide timely and efficient healthcare services to all our patients. To ensure fair access to appointments, the following policy applies:

Appointment Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 6 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations can be made by calling the clinic on 08 9883 9999.

Late Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Cancellations made with less than 6 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee and may require prepayment for future bookings.

  • Patients who fail to attend an appointment without notice (no-show) will be charged a fee and may be required to prepay for future bookings.

  • Fees apply as follows:

    • $55 for a standard (15-minute) appointment

    • $75 for an extended appointment

  • Patients with outstanding fees will not be able to book appointments Online and will need to book in person.

  • These fees are not covered by Medicare.

Late Arrivals

  • If you arrive late without prior notice and the doctor has commenced their next consult, we may not be able to see you.

  • Your appointment will be treated as a missed appointment, and the relevant fee may apply.

Repeat Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Patients with three or more missed appointments within six months may be required to:

    • Book future appointments in person, or

    • Pay a deposit prior to booking.

  • Frequent no-shows may also result in a review of ongoing care arrangements at our practice.

Exceptions

We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you believe your cancellation or absence was due to an unavoidable situation, please contact our Practice Manager to discuss your case.
