Do you know what your risk of having a heart attack or stroke is? Having a regular Heart Health Check with your GP will help you better understand your risk of a heart attack or stroke.
Most importantly, your GP and nurse can support you to lower this risk.

Mental Health
Mental health is a state of emotional, psychological, and social well-being that influences how people think, feel, and act, impacting their ability to cope with life's stresses, work productively, and contribute to their communities. It is not just the absence of mental illness but a fundamental aspect of overall health, requiring attention to physical, social, and emotional aspects of life through practices like exercise, healthy eating, and strong relationships. Good mental health supports resilience, enabling individuals to navigate challenges and realize their full potential.

Mens Health

Over 75's Driving Medicals
Assessments are required to ensure older drivers remain medically fit to drive safely. Conducted by a GP, this check includes a review of vision, hearing, cognitive function, mobility, and any chronic health conditions that may affect driving ability. The GP then provides a medical report to support licence renewal, helping to promote road safety and independence for older adults.

Commerial Driving Medicals
A commercial driver's medical is an assessment of a driver's health to determine their fitness to operate heavy vehicles, public passenger vehicles, or dangerous goods vehicles safely, as required by law The assessment helps ensure road safety and protect human life by checking for conditions like epilepsy, heart disease, or sleep disorders that could affect a driver's perception, responsiveness, and physical ability.

Iron Infusions
An iron infusion delivers iron directly into your bloodstream via an intravenous (IV) drip to rapidly treat iron deficiency anemia when oral supplements aren't effective or suitable. The procedure bypasses the digestive system, allowing for efficient absorption and quicker relief from symptoms like fatigue. Common reasons for an infusion include poor absorption from gut conditions, chronic blood loss, or the need for a fast-acting treatment to avoid severe complications

Over 75 Health Checks
An over 75 health assessment is a free, annual, comprehensive check-up available to Australians aged 75 and over, designed to identify physical, psychological, and social health risks early to help maintain independence and improve well-being. Performed by a GP and practice nurse, the assessment reviews health status, mobility, medications, nutrition, and social support, with results shared to create a health management plan and connect patients with appropriate community services if needed.

45-49Yr Old Health Checks
Why do you need to get a 45-49 year old health check? Between the ages of 45 and 49 years old is when, statistically, you have a good chance of showing signs of the development of chronic disease. Unfortunately chronic diseases can have a significant impact on your health and well-being later in life.
